Goldman Sachs

This is the IPO chart for Goldman Sachs on the day the company went public and sold shares of their stock. Note that the time is 10:39, one hour and nine minutes past the opening bell. This means that the offer had so many buyers that the exchange needed the extra time to sort out the requests for shares of the stock. Therefore the sale of the first share did not take place until 10:39.

The reason I mention this is Vulcanus a hypothetical planet is exactly conjunct the Ascendant. Vulcanus is believed to be very powerful and sets up a trend of increased value when near a personal point in a chart.  In this case the Ascendant is that personal point. Goldman Sachs has had plenty of publicity concerning the talents of its personnel and their ability to decipher the various aspects of the marketplace.

January 29, 2010 GS price $154 transiting Saturn was trine natal Neptune and Neptune has just passed the trine to natal Venus both minor red flags.   This aspect will reappear Sept. 3, 2010 and by that point in time the price could go down again 5%.  Since January 29, 2010 the price of GS has increased to $171 per share and the aspects of transiting Jupiter and Uranus have been positive ending with a Jupiter sextile the natal Sun this week. The volume has been steady and I would expect the price to continue rising slowly until September.

Everything in the chart of GS appears to be favorable for the price of the stock. The fact that Vulcanus is transiting the ascendent adds to the increase power and the energy reserve of the company to influence the marketplace.

Thank you Vinod for asking the question.  In my Textbook for Financial Astrology I discuss various RED FLAGS.

  1. Goldman's stock run has been similar to other banks since the March 09 lows. What has driven their extraordinary profits/power in the past year has been the arc directed MC of the ipo conjoining natal JU. This is now at end so it will be worth seeing how things unfold in the coming months.

  2. When looking at aspects you need to look at the date when they are exact and then look ahead for the next one to find its influence on price etc. If you see an aspect forming then you need to look for two more that are similar. Three and you have a prediction worthy of your attention and $. Now Vulcanus is on the asc. You need to look around the chart for more power. If it isn't there then you might consider the negative definition of Vucanus.
