Neptune/USA Moon and the Saturn Return

Neptune conjunct USA Moon

The USA is in major "going no where funk". Since August 18 when transiting Neptune made a conjunction to the natal Moon, the American public has been inundated with news concerning dishonest folks in their town, state and nation. Reporters can't keep up with the revelations at the local or national level. Most folks like a good scandal once in a while but there are so many they don't know which one to follow. Example: Massive quantities of salmonella tainted eggs and the producers failure to guard the health of their chickens.

The astrology of the situation is Neptune was conjunct the USA Moon March 14, 2010, then August 18 and January 15 will see the final conjunction of Neptune to the Moon. USA citizens have four more months of being deceived and discovering the deception. Like the eggs and the oil spill the problem is that everyone is involved in one way or another in the challenges brought by the deceptions. Will it be over in 2011? No. Lawsuits will proliferate. Folks don't take kindly to being hoodwinked.

Saturn Return

Worse the whole country is feeling the pressure of a Saturn square the Sun and then the Saturn return. They can feel the promise of a lot of very hard work on the horizon. Just as it marks a turning point in the life of an individual, it does the same for countries. Previous Saturn returns have seen the entire economy adapting to a new industry. In 1922 it was the automobile, in 1952 it was TV, in 1981 it was the personal computer and 2010 the smart phone. We are looking at a plethora of candidates changing the way we do business. Historically each of these inventions moved quickly into everyday life and changed the whole process of doing business. Just by using your cell phone, how many gallons of gas or hours waiting have you saved in the past month?

Addition Effects of Saturn in Libra at 14 °
Simultaneously Saturn is conjunct the Uranus in the Nasdaq's chart (Textbook for Financial Astrology Book 2) insisting the institution of new rules concerning the listing of stocks as well as delisting. These changes will affect the value of the QQQQ's pushing prices higher.
Stocks and people born in 1971- 1976 will find the changes in rules or just the changes in customer's attitude will require a total make over and a clean up.
Markets around the world are waiting for OPEC to make up its mind about the price of oil. OPEC has Venus a 14 degrees of Libra. Therefore Saturn will restrict the price because members need to compete for sales with Russia.

Prediction is Fun
The Textbooks are filled with charts. Take a pencil to the charts and mark the planets in early Libra. The Saturn transit is going to make life difficult for these companies and commodities.
Examples: Disney, Cypress, Corn, Copper and T-Bonds. Write your guess as to price motion on the page and date it. You can even share your opinion on comments or the bulletin board.

Prediction Hints
When Saturn makes a conjunction to any planet it enforces the rules concerning that planet. We will consider the business meaning of the planet.
Saturn to Sun forces a business to take a good hard look at their product and ethics
Saturn to Moon forces a business to pay attention to the attitude of their customers
Saturn to Mercury forces rebuilding of communications network
Saturn to Venus forces acknowledgement of how the company collects its income
Saturn to Mars insists the company review their labor force
Saturn to Jupiter forces the CEO and upper management to do the job correctly
Saturn to Saturn forces the CFO to explain to everyone what is needed to make a profit.
Saturn to Uranus means change everything IT and be sure to patent research
Saturn to Neptune means advertising and marketing is not working
Saturn to Pluto means divest the business of everything superfluous.

A Long Void of Course Moon Aug 12, 2010

The hardest thing I teach VOC Moon's exception to the rule. Parallel and contra-parallel. Today is an example of the exception.

If you look at today's calendar page you will notice that the moon is void of course all day or all night depending on you time zone. I generally recommend in the Textbook for Financial Astrology Book 1 that you do things you do not want to remember that you did. Example cleaning house, car, garage, desk. However there is an exception to this rule and that is a void of course moon that includes parallels and contraparallels. Today is one of those days and I'm hoping this chart makes it through the e mail and you can see the declination column on the lower left hand side of the page.
Notice Venus is 2S54 and Mars is 2 S 59 meaning they are parallel. Jupiter is 00 S 16 and Uranus is 00 S 42 also parallel.

In your day to day life you find lovely or delicious things to purchase and interesting maybe valuable investments or an interesting new friend. You say OH maybe I should ignore these since the Moon is VOC, but then temptation snarls you and you buy it anyway. Then you actually use it.

OPPS Kaye was wrong about the VOC Moon being a good day to just do mundane routine chores, after all on Aug 12 I had this amazing good luck. If you can try this exception to the VOC rule. Buy something interesting and keep the receipt or just add an interesting customer to your client list or sign up to do something fun. Don't bet the farm on the 7th horse in the 7th race OK?

With the planets bunching up in the lower degrees of the zodiac, it is a good idea to watch for days with VOC Moon during business hours. Who knows we might all have clean desks, spotless homes for a short time until time until Uranus and Jupiter return to Pisces.

Fiscal Cents - Financial Astrology for Your Zodiac Sign

Financial Astrology for Your Zodiac Sign For the Lunar Month Beginning August 9, 2010 - Your Astrological Horoscope and Financial Outlook by Kaye Shinker

The New Moon is in Leo. The Sun will enter the sign of Virgo 14 days later on August 23rd at 1:27 am EDT.
Happy Solar Return to everyone born under the sign of Virgo, and Leos still celebrating!

Leos, if you were born August 9 through August 22nd, you can expect to enjoy a little time off from the hectic routine. You need to nurture the kitty cat side of your personality. You can expect to enjoy a year of higher math dealing with taxes, insurance, inheritance issues, and accounting problems. Relax and buy a new calculator.

Virgos born August 23 through September 8 are very busy helping others reorganize their business. If possible work on contract as opposed to an hourly wage.

Advice for everyone! During the next six months I encourage every Sun Sign to take control of your personal environment and reclaim your power. 2010 is the year to watch for IPO's. Read the descriptions and start looking for great new inventions. Neptune remains alone in Aquarius therefore everyone's computer fingers are in danger of being careless.

On the web site you will find the article, Venus- Money in Your Chart. Be sure to read it for directions on How to Construct an Astrological Treasure Chest.

For all other signs: Each Sun Sign has predictions of the challenges and successes for you during the month ahead in our Fiscal Cents column on the web site.

We suggest that you also read your Ascendant (your Rising sign), as well as your Sun sign on our web site - to read your sun sign's forecast on our web site go to: www.astrologicalinvesting.com/html/Fiscalcents.html.

The New Moon in Leo

Read this New Moon report in it's entirety at www.astrologicalinvesting.com/html/newsletter.html
New Moon forecasts show the general trends and financial outlook for the month; here is what Kaye Shinker has to say for the month ahead:

New Moon in Leo, August 9, 2010 at 11:08 pm EDT Washington, D.C.

This is a Super New Moon, meaning that the Moon is perigee (closest to the earth). Super Moons usually activate the Ring of Fire and, in this case, the area south of the equator where the July 11th eclipse was visible is the most vulnerable. It is a time of super high tides and earthquake activity or volcanic eruptions that may quickly initiate a tsunami.

The New Moon in the 5th house

Schools are always in the spotlight at this time of year and the New Moon in the house of children highlights that sector of life. The discussions of children and their education will be a major topic of conversation. Local tax revenues say cutbacks are required. The unaspected New Moon says that no one is willing to pay more taxes.

Speculation in commodities will return as traders notice this market seems to promise better profits. Also the materials sector of the economy remains promising for traders looking for quick profits. (Please be aware - commodities are a tough market to trade.)

Mercury in the 6th house
Mercury is thinking about organizing the work place. Office supply retailers will benefit. Since many new employees are forced to work on contract, they will be required to stop by these retail establishments and purchase basic supplies. Software suppliers as well as community colleges will also see a demand for training in basic accounting.

Saturn in the 6th house
There continues to be irritating situations in maritime affairs concerning the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Information concerning the wells continues to leak to the media as well as the underground and internet press.

To quote my favorite book, Mundane Astrology, by Manik Jain, “An important subordinate may abscond with papers relating to the sea-enterprises which give the ruler a red face”. There must be quite a few secret papers and directives awaiting exposure by whistle-blowers. Official bureaucracy will continue to be exposed for failure to perform their tasks.

Venus in the 6th house
This position for Venus forecasts hurricanes and damaging windstorms. At least one of these storms could stir up a hidden treasure.

Folks who enjoy cleaning up messes will have little trouble finding work and extra income. These workers need to vigilantly observe the safety rules.

Mars in the 6th house
Summer colds plague the population. Nothing serious, but annoying.

Employment in the uniform services will be under stress. Employers continue to hire part-time and temporary workers. Agriculture will provide some temporary jobs. Employment in the transport industries will increase throughout the month.

This Mars position will spark wildfires, and air accidents.

The USA east coast will tend to attract hurricanes.

Pluto in the 9th house
In spite of the challenges presented by the squares to Pluto in the ninth house, this month should be very favorable for the new economy. The internet will continue its pervasive outreach to the citizens of the US each day making it easier and easier to do business with the world. Education will be forced to rethink the focus of their programs and adapt most of their classes to the new media. Sudden resignations and/or retirement of education and religious leaders will challenge the boards of these institutions to find replacements.

Neptune in the 11th house
Corporations continue to hoard cash. Most of the cash is earned from sales abroad and they are not interested in paying a double tax on it. Therefore, boards of directors will not increase dividends or order stock buy backs. Many will suggest that research is a better way to spend money. Shareholders will not be happy.

Uranus in the 12th house
Folks are restless and impatient. They are easily distracted and vulnerable to accidents.
Along with Mars in the 6th, Uranus in the 12th is also an indication of wildfires as well as explosions. TV news prefers the color red, therefore expect these events to lead their reports.

Jupiter in the 12th house
Scandal after scandal pours out of public institutions. Fraud, deception and embezzlement are the usual problems, however many clever criminals on the public payroll will have stories unique enough to find headlines. Secret documents will find plenty of space on the internet.

The July 11th eclipse on the USA dollar's moon will continue to stress the public's disapproval of its value. The Textbook for Financial Astrology Book IV will help you understand the details of the problem.

What a Difference a Trine Makes!

It was around 10:00 am when Saturn sat on the Ascendant of the chart for New York City.  (chart posted in this morning's blog, "Investor Fear and the Grand Cross")  The energy of the hour then was all about investors seeking safe, solid ground based on fear and worry regarding the morning's latest reports on unemployment and the economy in general.

The DOW dropped dramatically as Saturn tightened the purse strings of  Wall Street investors.  But then as time moved on into the afternoon things changed!

What happened?

In these two charts you can see exactly when the sentiment changed from fear to a more relaxed state of mind as Neptune dissolved these fears.

Saturn had moved off the Ascendant and MidHeaven (medium coeli or MC) axis and was now in the rule-breaking 11th house.  A house  symbolically known as a place of  "hopes, dreams and desires" ( And sometimes the place where rules can be broken in terms of acheiving our goals with a little help from our friends and associates!)

More importantly however, at 1:51 pm ET, the Moon in Gemini  (now in the 8th house of money held or managed for others)  made two nice easy-flowing aspects to the chart of New York -  a trine to Neptune and minutes later a sextile to the MC.  Sextiles offer opportunity, and trines make opportunity knock.

Notice in the chart that Uranus and Jupiter had moved into the 5th house of speculation, risk taking, gambling, and stock market trading.  Investors began looking for creative ways to find profits - less concerned with the over-all risk and perhaps a bit over-confident about their investment safety with Jupiter's square to Pluto in the 2nd house.

Investor Fear and The Grand Cross

The 10 o'clock hour on Wall Street - Dow Jones Industrial Avg.
"The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 148 points to 10526 points and a surge in demand for Treasurys pushed the yield on the 10-year note to its lowest level in more than a year. The Nasdaq Composite slid 1.3% to 2263. The Standard & Poor's 500-stock index fell below its 200-day moving average, tumbling 1.4% to 1110." WSJ AUGUST 6, 2010, 1:31 P.M. ET

In these two charts  you can see that the market dropped dramatically as Saturn was exactly conjunct the Ascendant at 10:03 am.  Pluto was in a transiting formation conjunct the IC and square the ASC.
