An Astrological Trip Around the New Moon in Virgo

Astrological Investing New Moon forecasts show general trends and financial outlook for the month. The New Moon in Virgo, 2013  - Chart from the point of view of Wall Street and the NYSE.

The New Moon in Virgo, September 5,  7:38:58 am EDT
Chart from the point of view of Wall Street and the NYSE
Disruptive energy followed after the Full Moon in Aquarius.

During the last Quarter Moon - the week of August 26 - along with the ongoing theme of Uranus square Pluto energy, VENUS Opposition URANUS, SUN Opposition NEPTUNE, VENUS Square JUPITER, and MARS' entrance into Leo, aroused and inflamed governments and brought much volatility to world markets.

Global markets took a beating amid escalating tensions in Syria.  And so, readers of the New Moon Report may be asking, "What does an analytical Virgo New Moon promise for this Lunar month?"

Note - The energy of Pluto square Uranus has been constant since 2012, and will be in force until 2015.   This aspect heats things up politically at home (ruthless, negative campaigns between the two political parties in the US) and world wide. (mob violence and political uprisings in the Middle East) And, economically, the Uranus and Pluto aspect has been push pulling the markets.

An Astrological Trip Around the New Moon in Virgo Chart

The New Moon and Mercury, the planet that rules the Virgo rising chart, is located the twelfth house
During the first days after the New Moon, the night sky is dark.  Last month's lunar cycle has ended and the New Moon has begun a new cycle of growth.  Astrologers say this is a time when one must accept accumulated failures from the past and begin a rebirth.  They remind people that the New Moon is the time "to plant new seeds" toward fulfillment.

Events governed by the 12th house will come to the forefront this lunar month.   The 12th house has much to do with what is hidden and what is behind the scenes. It is hard to predict what hidden things will be stumbled upon in the darkness of this New Moon!  The twelfth house, using the words of astrologer Karen Hamaker-Zondag," is a house of paradoxes in which the impossible is possible and opposites can be reconciled at a deeper level.. it is where events take place out of sight..(and, how) such a concept is hard to reconcile with the clear light of the rising Sun.."

Mercury and the New Moon's influence in the 12th house
More information will come out about chemical weapons in Syria, and more revelations of scandal.  The New Moon will bring "hidden troubles", and "secret enemies", of the USA to the forefront - and consequently to Wall Street and world markets.

However, on the day of the New Moon, Jupiter brings good fortune for the government and soothes investor's fears.

The New Moon in the 12th house, sextile Jupiter in the 10th house
Jupiter's influence in the tenth house is very fortunate.  Stocks representing charitable institutions, religious institutions, philanthropic movements, hospitals, healthcare and government institutions such as prisons, etc., benefit from Jupiter's influence.

Understanding the potential of planetary cycles and what the technical charts tell us is our best bet for successful trading. We need to see the whole picture!

I have been reminding readers at the end of each New Moon interpretation that astrologicalinvesting.com strives to teach financial astrology as a timing tool to use. Although the mundane reading I give each New Moon gives us a broad picture of the astrological landscape we expect to encounter during the month, I encourage all of you to look at the weekly technical charts by Randall Ashbourne.

Astrological Investing New Moon forecast for the New Moon in Taurus, May 9, 2013

Markets pushed to record highs.  The strength of last month's new Moon in Aries in the first house, together with The Promise of the Spring Equinox chart, (Read The Spring Equinox, March 20, 2013) could not be undone by ominous daily transiting aspects.  Investors largely ignored events that could have brought out the bears in full force - though we saw some volatile days - market analysts remarked how it was a "stock market rally on steroids." Well, from my perspective, that's a pretty good description of an Aries driven market.

Regarding Venus in Aries, I wrote in last month's newsletter, "You will see investors selling more risky small and mid-cap stocks and buying DOW stocks".  The Russell 2000 (small-cap index) had the biggest declines on days when markets pulled back, and compared to the S&P and the DOW, the Russell is playing catch-up.

The New Moon in Taurus is a Solar Eclipse, following a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse which happened on April 25. It will be followed by another Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on May 25.  We are in a "season of eclipses", ....Click to read this article in full on the astrologicalinvesting.com web site.
On the web site, read about eclipses and how they will impact the market.  Also, what houses the planets are transiting and the interpretation of the planets in the houses.

A very important word to the wise: Jupiter is at 19° 22' degrees of Gemini - past the mid point of 15°. A new Jupiter cycle begins June 27, 2013, when Jupiter enters the zodiac sign of Cancer. Stocks in the new Jupiter favored sector of Cancer will begin to lead the market.

If you don't know where to find stocks governed by the zodiac sign of Cancer, let Grace Morris help you. Astro Economics Stock Market Newsletter does the research for you. "LEADERS CHANGE AS NEW CYCLE BEGINS ... The new leaders will come from the new favored sectors such as Home Building, Real Estate, Restaurants and more. A full list in next month’s issue.." Grace Morris

The New Moon in Pisces 2012

Read this New Moon report in it's entirety at www.astrologicalinvesting.com/html/newsletter.html
New Moon forecasts show the general trends and financial outlook for the lunar month based upon location of the chart

Preface: In Lesson Eight, titled Mundane Astrology, in The Textbook for Financial Astrology, Book 4, Kaye Shinker outlined how to read a New Moon chart. Kaye always read the New Moon chart from the point of view of Washington D.C. and gave predictions in the newsletters foretelling events which included economic, political, sociological, entrepreneurial, and meteorological conditions.

My New Moon reports will be different. I prefer to use New York, NY for the location of the New Moon chart instead, and will focus on the economic issues and political conditions affecting the financial market. In my reading I'll interpret the house placement of the New Moon for the NYSE and major aspects going on as represented chart. As time goes on the format may change, so let me know what you think!

But for now, let's look at the chart from the point of view of Wall Street and the NYSE. (Click chart for larger image)

What is going on here?!?!

Well, to start, the Sun entered the zodiac sign of Pisces on the 19th. For financial markets the Sun represents the government, heads of state, the CEO's and presidents of corporations. In Pisces these entities wake each day to a boundless and ethereal Piscean world having visions of utopia.

Interestingly, this chart lacks dynamic energy, and what I mean by lacking dynamic energy is, when using very tight orbs, the only major aspect between planets is the 6th house conjunction of the New Moon with Neptune!

Basically, at the exact time of the New Moon, all the planets with the exception of the Sun, Moon and Neptune are without aspect! Planets without aspect often act without restraint – or sometimes they just quietly hold back and don't act at all. This new Moon conjunction takes place in Pisces – so folks, we may be confused about what is ahead this month. Confusion equals volatility in the stock market.

The New Moon conjunct Neptune in the 6th house
The focus is on jobs and the health of the economy. Unemployment figures may be up, and the stock market may appear to be rallying to new heights, but we wonder, is it all a Piscean illusion?

Healthcare stocks may lead the market.

Mercury in the 7th House
Two days after the New Moon, Mercury will oppose Mars on February 23 at 17° Pisces. That will be the last aspect Mercury makes before changing signs to join Venus and Uranus in the aggressive sign of Aries. A challenging aspect, this opposition may manifest in a breakdown of communication regarding mergers and public relations.

News from Astro Economics: (excerpt from February's Astro Economics newsletter...)
"January 2012 was the best month for the stock market since 1997! Are the investors back? Have they decided to stop listening to the negative news sources and actually looking at reliable sources? Although GDP growth is slow it is moving in the right direction as are employment rates. The Federal Reserve has expressed its intention to keep interest rates low into 2014. (This may be why many analysts are again touting gold.) Low interest rates are always good for the stock market. Last week at the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Switzerland, leaders of U.S. companies were mostly positive on the future of the economy.
GOLDEN CROSS
Historically the Golden Cross is considered a positive sign for the months ahead in the stock market. The Golden Cross occurs when the 50-day moving-average and the 200-day moving-average form a cross. This occurred on 1/31/12 in the S&P 500 Index. Past results point to future gains..." Grace K Morris
