Project 2011

Collin "Sonny" Rosati is on a mission. His project is to interview as many astrologers as possible and place the interviews on his internet radio show.
Throughout the interview with Kaye she discusses some of the astrological aspects that are important when starting a new business. Kaye explains a few of the planetary phenomena that a new business should avoid and also how to determine when a new business starts.
Collin and I had a lot of fun throughout the interview and we hope you enjoy it and check out some of the other folks on the web as they discuss their specialty in astrology.

Money and Practical Astrology

New Moon in Taurus means Frugal.
It is a perfect time to open a savings account where you want the money to stay put and not sneak away on trivial "I wants" In fact my Moon in Taurus savings account just gave my car a tow truck ride. Insurance covered the ride but I had to pay cash to the driver and wait for the insurance check.

Savings accounts are also handy for depositing refund checks, birthday checks and even rolls of nickels and pennies. Lovable savings accounts collect a few dollars here and a few dollars there and pretty soon you are talking about an online trading account. "FUN"

The sign of the Sun and/or Moon will help you decide when to purchase big ticket items. A new computer would prefer a Moon in Aquarius, a new refrigerator would prefer a Moon in Cancer, and a new car would enjoy a Moon in Gemini. Problem is that we usually do not purchase big ticket items until the old one breaks beyond repair. However, if you can wait a day or a week give it a try.

Speaking of repairs, Mercury rx is the best time to "fix it". When you take the old clunker to the shop, bring a book, your homework and your knitting. Mercury rx "fix it" usually require double the amount of time to accomplish the work. Also be sure you have a written estimate before they start the job.

There are events where you can control the start up date.
If you are starting a new business, you may wish to have the Sun sign for the business in the sign most favorable for the product or service the business offers. If you are selling your house, you might chose an excellent time to list the property. If you are planning to make a long term investment, it is really a good idea to find a good day to sign the papers. If you are plan to start a club or begin a charity project then it is really a good idea to chose an auspicious day and time.

My Textbook for Financial Astrology Book 1 will give you a good start at finding the perfect date. After you read the book you could look up some businesses you knew and loved. Did they have a Jupiter rx and therefore a lazy salesman? Did their Neptune square Mercury and the employees robbed them blind? Did you purchase that "lemon" under a Mercury rx or did the Moon VOC catch the business and one month later you hung up the "going out of business sign".

Learn Financial Astrology

News analysts and reporters have reported numerous scandals and Ponzi schemes throughout the past few months. They summarize the reports with the warning that you must make your own decisions, remember to be diversified and if it SOUNDS too good to be true it probably IS.  Strange that the 'mainstream media' has ignored many of these scandals preferring to report on scandalous behavior of sports/pop icons.

The Astrology

Current transits for the world are Jupiter applying to a conjunction with Neptune and Chiron. In addition Neptune is transiting the USA Moon (public)  until February 2012. Neptune is allowing the public the opportunity to be very susceptible to fraud, and deceit. Saturn on the other hand is forcing transparency as it travels past the USA Neptune over the top of the chart and on to a conjunction with the USA Saturn in 2011.  The USA 4th of July chart has suffered since November 2008 when Saturn applied to the USA Neptune and Neptune applied to the USA Moon.( July 1979 and July 1980 were the previous transits of Saturn to USA Neptune.)

The world is euphoric because of the conjunction. Americans are even more euphoric than the rest of the world since the conjunction is applying to the Moon of the 4th of July chart.  Optimism prevails throughout the stock market and even the dollar has gained a bit of public confidence.

The exposure of scandals are just getting started. Saturn is at the top of the USA chart. The accounting departments of American businesses are attempting to gather cash to keep their companies out of debt. They are cutting inventories, laying off workers, selling subsidiaries and spinning off parts of their companies.  This is the role of Chiron who is also transiting the USA Moon.

Scattered throughout the various New Moon and Ingress reports The Textbook for Financial Astrology.  I wrote the Textbook for traders, investors and astrologers to enable each to use the information provided by the cycles of the planets to make intelligent decisions when purchasing various investments.  Read each New Moon report carefully as Saturn is approaching Libra announcing changes in the Dow, the New York exchange and the NASDAQ.

I mention at the bottom of page 1 in Book 1 of Textbook.

"Most of us start investing because we have earned enough money to put some away in an IRA or Keogh or other type of retirement account.  What ever happened to the high interest rates on a Certificate of Deposit--nice, safe,?no-brainer??  Suddenly we?re required to make a decision  There are so many options.  Do you buy stocks, bonds, or mutual funds?  If you study the business section of the newspaper, the advertisers and writers have millions of suggestions for you.

Who ever told you you were too stupid to manage your own money. If you are clever enough to make the money then you are clever enough to manage your own investments.

If you are clever enough to earn a good living with a little bit left over to invest, then you are should be clever enough to take care of your own financial accounts. You pay your bills and shop intelligently then you are smart enough to learn the material in my Textbook.

.

It is a tremendous leap of faith to write a check and allow an adviser to invest your hard earned money in the risky business known as the financial markets. .

If you have learned the foreign language known as Astrology, you are undoubtedly astute enough to learn and comprehend the language of financial markets.  If your are able to learn the foreign language known as Finance, then undoubtedly you are astute enough to learn and comprehend the language of astrology.

My Textbooks take you through both languages step by step.  I am always happy to answer your questions and classes are available.

Taxes and Day One of Your Company

"In filing my taxes this year I am being informed that it would be in my best interest to file my trading activities as a business. I am wondering when my business might be considered day one? Jan 1, 2008? or the day I file my taxes in 2009? or? If its 09 the best I could do is file after Venus goes SD. Thanks Rick

If, when filing taxes this year, you decide to declare your trading activities as a business - what is your new business' natal chart?

Good question! Is it the date and time you file the taxes? No!

In the Textbook for Financial Astrology, Book I, I discuss a number of astrological considerations when selecting a date to start a business. However a lot of business start before you read the Textbook. How do you decide the time and date the business started?

The rule of thumb is when you collect the money for your first sale.

Rick, one of my excellent students, thought of a very tricky question to figure, especially when you started trading you weren't officially "trading as a business". But it's actually the very same principle I discuss in my Textbook.

If you sold something and the money was put into your account on a certain date that is the beginning of the business that you are paying taxes on. If the new business is starting in 2008 then you will use the start date of the first day you were paid for the sale of something in 2008. It does not matter when you bought the object for sale. What matters is when someone paid you for the object.

Rick checked through his trades in 2008 and found the very first profitable trade. We calculated the chart and he agreed that it seemed to describe his business.
