Astrological Investing New Moon forecasts show general trends and financial outlook for the month. The New Moon in Sagittarius 2013 - Chart from the point of view of Wall Street and the NYSE.

(Click for larger image)  Note: When reading a chart for the NYSE, my interpretations are modified to take into consideration location and the economic and political conditions that impact the market. The meanings of the planets and house are adapted to these circumstances.

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus - and he is dressed to deliver presents to all the good boys and girls of Wall Street!

Pluto square Uranus can't keep Santa from delivering his presents - not as long as his special reindeers, Ben and Janet, lead his sleigh.
A VERY FAST TRIP Around the New Moon in Sagittarius Chart

The New Moon is in the fifth house and the Moon rules the Cancer rising chart - The Moon and Sun in Sagittarius is filled with hope and great expectations.

The 5th house comes to the forefront this lunar month -  The fifth house has dominion over theaters and places of amusement, entertainment, and pleasure. It rules creativity, children, and lovers. In financial astrology it rules gambling, stock traders and market speculation. The new Moon here gives promise of prosperity and contentment.

The Sun and Moon (New Moon) in the 5th is trine Uranus in the 10th house.  The 10th house's domain is the government - in this chart that would be the governmental regulatory agencies/people of the NYSE.

Uranus is the planet of *~SURPRISE~!* - Though we can't predict surprises, we know that New Moons, generally, are times when the market it is up. This aspect to Uranus in the 10th suggests unexpected success and achievement. (In political terms, the 10th house symbolizes the Government and the President himself.   Political achievement and success usually calms fears on Wall Street.  However, to fully study the USA political chart, we would need to draw up an exact chart using Washington, DC as the location. The Washington DC chart, in this case (as it is most of the time, due to the proximity of location), does have the planets in the same houses.)

Jupiter is in Cancer in the twelfth house, conjunct the Ascendant - Jupiter here is most fortunate, and acts as if he were the Angel in the December Christmas Pageant.

The 12th house is the natural house of Pisces.  Jupiter, being a co-Ruler of Pisces, has great strength here, and is very beneficial to the US. (The US has it's natal Sun in Cancer - Jupiter is in Cancer.)

So, in the 12th house, Jupiter acts as a Guarding Angel, forcing aside negativity and anything that could possibly thwart idealistic and optimistic goals of a broad and better future.
It's a Santa Claus Rally!

An Astrological Trip Around the New Moon in Libra

Astrological Investing New Moon forecasts show general trends and financial outlook for the month. The New Moon in Libra, 2013  - Chart from the point of view of Wall Street and the NYSE.
The New Moon in Libra, October 4, 2013
Chart from the point of view of Wall Street and the NYSE.

Last months Lunar cycle has come to an end as the Moon conjuncts the Sun in Libra triggering the energy of the Pluto- Uranus square.
This aspect has heated things up politically at home (ruthless, negative campaigns and strong disagreements between the two political parties in the US) and world wide. (mob violence and political uprisings in the Middle East) And, economically, the Uranus and Pluto aspect has been push pulling the markets. Note - Though not always strongly in force by exact aspect, the energy of Pluto square Uranus has been an operative influence since 2012, and will be influential though 2015.

An Astrological Trip Around the New Moon in Libra Chart

The New Moon is in the fifth house in a T-square with Pluto (eighth house) and Uranus (eleventh house) - Typically, new moons create a feeling of optimism and the markets react positively.  Research has shown that people have a greater willingness for change and acceptance at the New Moon phase. Optimism for a brighter future coming is prevalent with the new growth cycle of the Moon.  "When a new moon occurs, people, male and female, will experience a sense of calmness. Their emotions will stabilize and their willingness to accept difficulties will reach its peak. The persons will be more energetic and open-minded. Optimism will also result from this moon phase." from the article, Human Behavior with Relation to the Lunar Cycle

However, this month at the time of the New Moon, the Sun and Moon in Libra trigger the energy of a challenging Pluto- Uranus square.  Now, it may be possible that whatever has investors jittery has already been baked into the market by the time of the New Moon - just days leading up to the New Moon the Sun has squared Pluto and then went on to oppose Uranus.   So, maybe the fear has subsided?

It's all about risk these days - especially with the New Moon in the fifth - just how much risk can you tolerate?  Read Randall Ashbourne's article The Moods of the Moon - Trading the Mood Swings of the Monthly Lunar Cycle

Events governed by the 5th house will come to the forefront this lunar month -
This being the Sun's "natural" house, the 5th house has much to do with public figures. Here, the Sun represents all people in authority in respect to the NYSE - that would include Ben Bernanke and the President of the US.

The Moon represents where people's attention and focus falls this month - as well as the actual mood of the people.  Frankly, in Libra, people would like to be out enjoying parties and the theater, or maybe entertaining in their homes, with Jupiter now in Cancer.  The need for a bit of balance away from the stress of every life, and the need to take time out for amusement of all sorts, is their focus of attention.  Unfortunately, this is not an easy need to fulfill with a T-square to Uranus and Pluto! Those planets have little, or nothing, to do with fun and leisure.

Public speculation, investments, gambling (having to do with risk taking in the market) will be spotlighted. Since the politics of the nation affect the fears of investors, the popularity of the President is on the line, as well as The Fed Chairman.  Social problems arise, and there is a possibility of scandal.

The ruler of the Taurus rising chart, Venus, is located in the sixth house on the cusp of the seventh - If well aspected this would be very fortunate, however, that isn't happening either!

Venus is not well placed in the sign of Scorpio, especially when opposing the chart's rising degree in Taurus. And there is an applying square from Mars. This is not good for the working class.  Unemployment, worries of an increase in taxation, and higher expenditures is of great concern.  Money, money, money is on the minds of the working people - investors are interested in stable stocks that yield high dividends.

The New Moon in Virgo, 2012

Astrological Investing New Moon forecasts show general trends and financial outlook for the month

September brings us to the close of the summer season, yet the disruptive energies of the summer - the Uranus-Pluto square - still have people highly charged.

Neptune's entrance into in Pisces has come with promises of QE3 by the Fed, and Mario Draghi - head of the ECB - on a bond buying spree. Soaring markets are distracting attention away from the reality of slow economic growth and bad employment numbers. The planet Neptune is the planet of dreams, of unreality and misinformation. Neptune is "at home" in Pisces and offers promises of unlimited possibilities.

The New Moon in Virgo, September 15 - Chart from the point of view of Wall Street and the NYSE.

Total misdirection, or just a needed adjustment?

Mars is in a quincunx aspect to Jupiter in the first house. While I normally don't discuss inconjuncts, this aspect is the only exact aspect in the Virgo New Moon chart (aside from the new Moon conjunction), and it suggests a high rate of expended and misdirected energy.

An Astrological Trip Around the New Moon in Virgo Chart

The New Moon and Mercury in the fifth house - Schools, education, and teachers are the main interest in the media. Stocks represented in these areas - which are additionally supported with Jupiter in Gemini - benefit with Mercury and the New Moon in the fifth. Stocks in the entertainment sector may get a jump as well.

Saturn in the sixth house - The health of the economy is of grave concern. High unemployment numbers and discontent among workers persist.

Mars in Scorpio in the 6th house - Possible threats of strikes in the workplace with much discontent among union workers. Danger of fires in the military.

Pluto in the eighth house square Uranus in the eleventh house - An urgent call for government reform in taxes and banking provokes a much greater response than expected in the market. Difficulty with legislative reforms.

Prices for gold, oil, copper and other metals jump as mining stocks and metals lead the way.

Note - As I have stated before, Pluto square Uranus has been the astrological theme of the summer. This aspect has heated things up politically resulting in ruthless, negative campaigns between the two parties in the US.

Economically, the Uranus and Pluto aspect has been push pulling the markets.

Neptune in the tenth house, and Jupiter in the first house - In Mundane Astrology the first, fourth, seventh and tenth houses are most important, with the tenth house having a special reference to the ruler of the country, the government in power, and the national honor and reputation of the country; the first house represents the minds of the people.

Neptune in the tenth house - Neptune here suggests the position of the government in power is uncertain.

Jupiter in the first house - Normally, without any adverse aspects, Jupiter in the first suggests prosperity. People are contented and trade is good - however with an inconjunct aspect to Mars in Scorpio, people feel something is not right. There is a higher than usual amount of energy expended and aggressive talk.

Venus in the third house - Stocks ruled by Gemini continue to outperform the market. Gemini sectors include Advertising, Media (including social media), Telecommunication, Transportation (airline, railroad, truck & auto), Education, Leisure, Travel, Retail-Internet, Technology and Information Services.
