Jupiter in Leo ... the affected sectors

Randall Ashbourne, an associate of Astrological Investing, posts a weekly market report on his web site, theidiotandthemoon.com  The following is this weekend's Eye of RA report: Week beginning July 14,  2014
The head honcho of the Old Gods ... Gee,Zeus, Jupiter, the Fatboy ... goes into the Fire sign, Leo, this week.

He'll be heading to the salon for a new "do" and shopping for a set of the emperor's new clothes.

I probably shouldn't be making fun of the guy who throws thunderbolts around when he's off his Adderall, but have you ever tried swapping jokes with Saturn?! Ugh.

Anyway, I received a note during the week from a reader wanting some further explanation of how Jupiter affects sector rotation ... the regular shift of money away from the popular to the unpopular.

I've touched on this a few times and you might want to take another look at the January 20 Eye of Ra in the Archives.

Basically, though, Jupiter increases either the demand, or the supply. The biggest impacts tend to be in the sectors ruled by the sign Jupiter is entering - Leo; the sign he's opposing - Aquarius; and the signs he's squaring - Taurus and Scorpio.

In January, I urged you all to look at gold and gold mining stocks for a possible long-range shift in the trend. So far, so good ... and that trend shift is giving fairly strong indications of being underway.

The other sectors ruled by Leo are: Amusement parks, gambling and casinos, games and toys, jewelry, recreational vehicles and stock brokers.

Aquarius rules: Aerospace and aircraft, computers and technology, radio and TV broadcasting, electrical equipment, satellites and stock market profits.

Taurus and Scorpio rule: Banks and insurance, debt and taxes, copper, bonds, financial institutions, cattle, candy and corn.

So, the idea is that we look at stocks in those sectors to see which ones appear to have been putting in a solid, long-range bottom OR are showing distinct signs of topping out.

Okay, a reminder that this week brings a Bradley major trend change date.

Let's see where we are ... starting with the Pollyanna index, Wall Street's SP500. She dropped to the Node line at 1952 last week, but bounced back into the Node range now priced from 1955 to a whisker above 2000.

The DJIA is riding a technical channel, unable to climb back inside the upper tier ... and with no new peak in the Big Bird canary since March 2013.

On the northern side of the lakes, Toronto is stalling at a long-range planetary price level. The index made a Bear bottom at a Pluto/Node zone and is now testing a higher level zone priced from the 15,100s to 15,900s.

On the other side of The Pond, London's FTSE continues in its range-bound torpor. It makes Midsommer Murders looks like a Michael Bay action movie.

Germany still can't keep its head above the long-range Pluto barrier in the early 10,000s.

Paris is swooning, though may have reached a bounce level.

And dear old Auntie, the ASX 200, hit 5532 again ... and reached for the smelling salts. Again.

I indicated recently I could see no instance on the gold charts where a rally stalled before hitting an upside Sun or Pluto line. And there still isn't one, since the price of gold made contact with both of them last week.

An Astrological Trip Around the New Moon in Scorpio - A Solar Eclipse

Astrological Investing New Moon forecasts show general trends and financial outlook for the month. The New Moon in Scorpio, Solar Eclipse, 2013 - Chart from the point of view of Wall Street and the NYSE.

In mundane astrology it is the entrance of the sun into each of the four cardinal signs that determine the astrological framework of each season.  New Moon charts work within the energy woven into the fabric of these charts.  Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto dominate the Equinox chart and the Fall season - Expect challenge and uncertainty. Read the Autumnal (Fall) Equinox, September 22, 2013

The New Moon in Scorpio, SOLAR ECLIPSE, November 3, 2013 - Chart from the point of view of Wall Street and the NYSE. Note: When reading a chart for the NYSE, my interpretations are modified to take into consideration location and the economic and political conditions that impact the market. The meanings of the planets and house are adapted to these circumstances.

As Above - So Below - Stress from the challenging aspect Pluto square Uranus keeps things heated up politically at home, and world wide.  Economically, this difficult energy in concert with any combination of transiting planets, has been driving global markets on a wild ride.  On any particular day investors react as one crisis follows another.

"This week brings the 4th exact hit of Uranus square Pluto ... and with it, an increased danger of turning the tide... This week's Uranus square Pluto aspect, the 4th exact hit in a rare series of 7, is likely to mark the start of an important turning point, though it might not become obvious for a few months." - The Eye of Ra, week beginning October 28.
by Randall Ashbourne

The Solar Eclipse strongly suggests an overall increased volatility in the financial market. Near the date of the eclipse, before and after,  there will be a marked increase in volatility.  Eclipses have coincided with market reversals in either direction, and with Mercury just barely past the first half of its retrograde period, the chances of extreme volatility increases.

Whenever there is an eclipse the influence of energy is intensified; and longer lasting if in a fixed sign such as Scorpio.

Read more about eclipses and how they can impact the market in the newly posted article on the website. Eclipses and Their Impact on the Market.

"Fortunate or unfortunate events follow according as to whether benefics are prominent or malifics, and whether the aspects among the planets are good or evil."

An Astrological Trip Around the New Moon in Libra Chart

The Solar Eclipse New Moon is in the twelfth house involved in a stellium (more than three planets conjunct). The Sun, Moon, Saturn, Mercury and the North Node are conjunct in 12th house. These five are sextile the rulers of the Scorpio rising chart, Mars and Pluto, activating the Uranus-Pluto square. (Though not shown in the chart above, the North Node is at 7° 21' Scorpio and the South Node is at 7°21'. Taurus.  An eclipse is always characterized by a conjunction to the Nodes of the Moon.)

Events governed by the 12th house will come to the forefront this lunar month -  The twelfth house is a place of shadows, secrets and hidden enemies. An eclipse in the 12th house suggests discredit and misfortune in areas that are governed by the 12th house. More scandalous revelations regarding the National Security Agency surveillance may be revealed which may have a disastrous financial impact on U.S. technology companies.  Presently, greater transparency is being called for from companies such as Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and Facebook. Their role in NSA surveillance has been questioned and trust has been lost. US technology companies are likely to suffer the backlash from any further NSA revelations.

Mercury rx in the twelfth house
- Internet activity has much to do with the 12th house, and wherever Mercury is found in the chart there is much activity. Reforms to the healthcare site need to be reviewed and the site re-done. More information will be revealed regarding why the site has so many problems.

Note!"... The middle of the (Mercury retrograde period) will be on Thursday, October 31. Any market that has not made a cycle turn around the retrograde date of October 21 is likely much to do so within 1-2 days of the center of the retrograde zone, which is October 31." Raymond Merriman

Saturn in Scorpio in the twelfth house - Trouble due to mal-administration and the people responsible suffer consequences.

An Astrological Trip Around the New Moon in Libra

Astrological Investing New Moon forecasts show general trends and financial outlook for the month. The New Moon in Libra, 2013  - Chart from the point of view of Wall Street and the NYSE.
The New Moon in Libra, October 4, 2013
Chart from the point of view of Wall Street and the NYSE.

Last months Lunar cycle has come to an end as the Moon conjuncts the Sun in Libra triggering the energy of the Pluto- Uranus square.
This aspect has heated things up politically at home (ruthless, negative campaigns and strong disagreements between the two political parties in the US) and world wide. (mob violence and political uprisings in the Middle East) And, economically, the Uranus and Pluto aspect has been push pulling the markets. Note - Though not always strongly in force by exact aspect, the energy of Pluto square Uranus has been an operative influence since 2012, and will be influential though 2015.

An Astrological Trip Around the New Moon in Libra Chart

The New Moon is in the fifth house in a T-square with Pluto (eighth house) and Uranus (eleventh house) - Typically, new moons create a feeling of optimism and the markets react positively.  Research has shown that people have a greater willingness for change and acceptance at the New Moon phase. Optimism for a brighter future coming is prevalent with the new growth cycle of the Moon.  "When a new moon occurs, people, male and female, will experience a sense of calmness. Their emotions will stabilize and their willingness to accept difficulties will reach its peak. The persons will be more energetic and open-minded. Optimism will also result from this moon phase." from the article, Human Behavior with Relation to the Lunar Cycle

However, this month at the time of the New Moon, the Sun and Moon in Libra trigger the energy of a challenging Pluto- Uranus square.  Now, it may be possible that whatever has investors jittery has already been baked into the market by the time of the New Moon - just days leading up to the New Moon the Sun has squared Pluto and then went on to oppose Uranus.   So, maybe the fear has subsided?

It's all about risk these days - especially with the New Moon in the fifth - just how much risk can you tolerate?  Read Randall Ashbourne's article The Moods of the Moon - Trading the Mood Swings of the Monthly Lunar Cycle

Events governed by the 5th house will come to the forefront this lunar month -
This being the Sun's "natural" house, the 5th house has much to do with public figures. Here, the Sun represents all people in authority in respect to the NYSE - that would include Ben Bernanke and the President of the US.

The Moon represents where people's attention and focus falls this month - as well as the actual mood of the people.  Frankly, in Libra, people would like to be out enjoying parties and the theater, or maybe entertaining in their homes, with Jupiter now in Cancer.  The need for a bit of balance away from the stress of every life, and the need to take time out for amusement of all sorts, is their focus of attention.  Unfortunately, this is not an easy need to fulfill with a T-square to Uranus and Pluto! Those planets have little, or nothing, to do with fun and leisure.

Public speculation, investments, gambling (having to do with risk taking in the market) will be spotlighted. Since the politics of the nation affect the fears of investors, the popularity of the President is on the line, as well as The Fed Chairman.  Social problems arise, and there is a possibility of scandal.

The ruler of the Taurus rising chart, Venus, is located in the sixth house on the cusp of the seventh - If well aspected this would be very fortunate, however, that isn't happening either!

Venus is not well placed in the sign of Scorpio, especially when opposing the chart's rising degree in Taurus. And there is an applying square from Mars. This is not good for the working class.  Unemployment, worries of an increase in taxation, and higher expenditures is of great concern.  Money, money, money is on the minds of the working people - investors are interested in stable stocks that yield high dividends.

Gold, SP500, TSX, Europe and the ASX200

Randall Ashbourne, an associate of Astrological Investing, posts a weekly market report on his web site, theidiotandthemoon.com The following is this weekend's Eye of RA report: Week beginning May 20, 2013

Gold and price of gold
So far, the only real "sell in May" action we're seeing is in gold and mining stocks.

This week kicks off with another exact hit of the long-running Uranus square to Pluto and will end with another Full Moon Lunar Eclipse.

The Sun leaves stable and money-conscious Taurus and moves into Gemini. Volatility will increase - and in both directions. Mercury and Venus will also be in Gemini and will be joined by Mars at the end of the month.

It puts all the inner planets on course for a conjunction get-together with Jupiter. We'll take a close look at the potential implications of that next weekend; but the past two years have seen intermediate tops locked-in as the Sun and Venus conjuncted Jupiter.

Wall Street, England and Germany have now reached long-range targets published in Forecast 2013.

We'll spend this weekend looking at those targets and the technical state of the charts to see if "that's it", or whether the rally still has legs to run.

I'll update Australian readers on the state of the ASX200 and we'll take a look at the latest rundown in gold prices.

And it's gold we'll look at first.

While the topic is not raised in The Idiot & The Moon, I have on occasion discussed a technical condition called trading against a spike. The last significant one of these we saw was in stock indices in August-October, 2011. Gold now appears to be in a similar state.

Basically, what happens is this ... price produces a large-range spike; there is a strong bounceback from the low; and then the spike is retested. It is the nature of how the spike is tested which gives us an indication of whether a larger bounceback is coming, or whether the freefall continues.

The planetary charts for gold, and their explanation, were introduced in Forecast 2013 and, so far, gold continues to play to them with almost uncanny accuracy.

In the chart below, we see the sudden April plunge ... the strong bounceback ... and now the retest is underway.
For a stronger bounceback to occur, or even a complete trend change, gold needs to make either a higher low, or only a marginal new low. The higher low would come from around 1337 and a marginal new low should not go significantly below the rising, primary Sun line currently priced at 1320.

The reality is that for gold to recover, stock indices probably need to drop ... and that's what we'll spend this weekend looking at.

At various times recently, I've published this chart for Pollyanna, the SP500, indicating the index may have been on a run between Uranus/Pluto planetary barriers. The target price was around 1610, though I did warn there was a higher target in the 1660s.

And ...

It's interesting to see how Polly has dealt with these Uranus/Pluto price zones since bouncing off one late in 2012 to launch into very strong rally mode - the resistance has been overcome by forced jumps over the hurdles. The next Uranus/Pluto zone is the 1700s.

However, let's look at where the index is in relation to the long-range planetary targets I published in January, in Forecast 2013. The index is now hitting against strong resistance from a Node barrier. The next highest target is Pluto at 1719.

We are, however, entering the statistically negative period between the 1Q and Full Moons ... and with Polly having breached the topside of the Bi-BBs. As explained in The Technical Section of the book, a breach of the upper or lower outer bands tends to cause either a sideways shuffle, or a countertrend.

Last week's price action breached the weekly upper band for only the second time in years. The previous one prompted a 9-week decline after some initial sideways shuffling. One other thing to note is that all the declines so far have travelled the full width of the bands ... so, IF one starts in the next week or two, the history suggests Chicken Little is going to want to slash 200 points from Polly.

The other warning sign on the chart above relates to the condition of the fast MACD histogram peaks. The signal lines are fine. But the histogram peaks have been in constant decline throughout the rally from October, 2011.

Okay. The two other Western indices as brightly optimistic as Polly are the FTSE and the DAX. We'll deal first with Germany, which has had a breakout above the major price target published in the Forecast.

Ten-thousand plus seems like a fairytale target. But, that's the next major planetary barrier for the DAX.

The planetary lines in the chart above are set at their maximum width. However, I used them because the German index has a strong track record of actually reaching them and they cannot be dismissed lightly. But we can use a Fibonacci Extension tool as a guide to potential targets within the 2000 points of "empty" space above.

Even so, the nearest higher target is several hundred more points away. AND all 3 Canaries - short, medium and long-range - are not at all unhappy.

The FTSE's long-range planetary price chart is below and I discussed in Forecast 2013 how the 6300s would be a difficult area, given the index's history of stalling at Uranus/Pluto zones. London has had a strong breakout after the months-long stall in that zone ... and also broken above the Neptune barrier which stopped the 2007 Bull run.

And in the chart below, the long-range Canary is singing quite happily. Note the divergence which slowly built in the indicator (the blue line in the lower oscillator panel) as price rose into the 2007 Bull peaks ... and note especially that there is absolutely no sign of divergence in its current readings.

Paris is next and I again use the chart from Forecast 2013. The CAC40 finally managed to break free of the 3800 price zone.

Since the CAC is not breaking out to new Bull market highs, we need to pay attention to the Fibonacci Retracement levels. There is very strong positive divergence evident in the FiboRx chart below. None of these oscillators has been this happy since the post-2009 recovery began and the higher FiboRx levels correspond with the potential planetary targets.
Returning now to North America for a look at the Canadian market. The TSX is in a similar state to the CAC40 ... ie: well below its earlier recovery high.

Now to my home market, Australia. Again, probably the most important thing on the chart is the state of the long-range Canary. While the short-term and medium range Birds are declining, the long-range line has hit new peaks. No negative divergence building, as it did during the push into the 2007 highs.

Auntie's Weekly Planets chart is below. After being blocked by a Neptune level in March and April, the index is now testing support on top of the line - and the price targets, if it succeeds, are obvious.

However, there is a warning sign flashing. The long-range Canary is holding above the +100 level, but appears to be increasingly unhappy. Remember this is a weekly chart - and the negative divergence is not present in the monthly chart.

Which suggests that any short to medium range price weakness in the index will be overcome and that higher prices are not merely possible, but are probable, over the course of the year.

Money and Practical Astrology

New Moon in Taurus means Frugal.
It is a perfect time to open a savings account where you want the money to stay put and not sneak away on trivial "I wants" In fact my Moon in Taurus savings account just gave my car a tow truck ride. Insurance covered the ride but I had to pay cash to the driver and wait for the insurance check.

Savings accounts are also handy for depositing refund checks, birthday checks and even rolls of nickels and pennies. Lovable savings accounts collect a few dollars here and a few dollars there and pretty soon you are talking about an online trading account. "FUN"

The sign of the Sun and/or Moon will help you decide when to purchase big ticket items. A new computer would prefer a Moon in Aquarius, a new refrigerator would prefer a Moon in Cancer, and a new car would enjoy a Moon in Gemini. Problem is that we usually do not purchase big ticket items until the old one breaks beyond repair. However, if you can wait a day or a week give it a try.

Speaking of repairs, Mercury rx is the best time to "fix it". When you take the old clunker to the shop, bring a book, your homework and your knitting. Mercury rx "fix it" usually require double the amount of time to accomplish the work. Also be sure you have a written estimate before they start the job.

There are events where you can control the start up date.
If you are starting a new business, you may wish to have the Sun sign for the business in the sign most favorable for the product or service the business offers. If you are selling your house, you might chose an excellent time to list the property. If you are planning to make a long term investment, it is really a good idea to find a good day to sign the papers. If you are plan to start a club or begin a charity project then it is really a good idea to chose an auspicious day and time.

My Textbook for Financial Astrology Book 1 will give you a good start at finding the perfect date. After you read the book you could look up some businesses you knew and loved. Did they have a Jupiter rx and therefore a lazy salesman? Did their Neptune square Mercury and the employees robbed them blind? Did you purchase that "lemon" under a Mercury rx or did the Moon VOC catch the business and one month later you hung up the "going out of business sign".

Fiscal Cents - Financial Astrology for Your Zodiac Sign - Gemini

Financial Astrology for Your Zodiac Sign For the Lunar Month Beginning May 13, 2010 - Your Astrological Horoscope and Financial Outlook
by Kaye Shinker

The New Moon is in Taurus, however the Sun will enter the sign of Gemini seven days later on May 20, 2010, at 11:34 pm EDT. Happy Solar Return to everyone born under the sign of Gemini! And Happy Solar Return to late Taurus Suns.

GeminiThis Month For Gemini - Gemini Suns will be busy spending their earned income on communications equipment and probably a new vehicle. Your management skills will improve throughout the year and your income will improve as a result.

Time to communicate with partners on ways to increase income. There are challenges as a result. You might consider real estate investments at this time, but gold or silver rings (these are great as a barter item to store) and coins are equally good investments. However, it is not a good time to take risks therefore be very careful with your cash.

If you were born during the last decanate of the zodiac sign of Taurus (May 10 - 20th) you can expect to enjoy a year filled with creative projects that challenge your ingenuity. Try to sell some of them.

Important note to Taurus' born between April 18 and May 11 - You will have Mercury retrograde in your Solar Return, therefore, expect to do everything twice during the year ahead.

Advice - for everyone! During the past few years I have encouraged every Sun Sign to save some money, limit their trading with excellent stops and to develop hobbies. 2010 is the year to watch for IPO's. Read the descriptions and start looking for great new inventions. Neptune is all alone in Aquarius, therefore everyone's computer fingers are in danger of being careless.

New Moon forecasts show the general trends and financial outlook for the month; here is what Kaye Shinker has to say for the month ahead:

The New Moon in Taurus, Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 9:04 am EDT Washington, D.C.
The New Moon in the 6th house (refer to chart)

Employment opportunities are available, but you have to be alert because some of the opportunities are not under a job title you would expect. Vehicles will contract mystifying mechanical problems. Repair shops and spare parts stores will earn extra income.

Venus in the 7th house

Great for partnerships where shared communications is important. Earned income will increase for partnerships selling creative solutions to difficult problems. It is a good time to meet and discuss partnership agreements and to watch for opportunities to invest in real estate.

Mars in the 9th house

Advertising is rather aggressive/hard sell. The customers for advertising agencies really need to sell products, and in particular, travel related items. Higher education companies are sending representatives wherever they believe eligible candidates might gather. Import and export tax issues become news headlines.

Saturn in the 10th house

The overall look at the New Moon chart suggests CEOs are going to have a challenge managing their companies. Leaders of corporations are retiring or resigning. They are tired. Folks shopping for bargain stocks will find this a good time to buy stocks in companies where there has been a turn over in top management. Governments will find many of their top officials handing in their retirement applications.

Pluto in the 1st house

The public insists on taking control of its power. They are communicating their ideas through the various networking tools available on the internet. People no longer have to arrange elaborate gatherings to share ideas, and they are beginning to notice.

Neptune in the 3rd house

News concerning fraud and scandal concerning various labor unions will make headlines. Even though Mercury turned direct May 11 (two days before the New Moon) it still isn't a good time to buy a new vehicle. Lifestyles are changing rapidly and it is important to determine exactly the type of vehicle required. Expect products to find ingenious, creative, new methods of packaging. Some will be good investments.

Jupiter in the 4th house

Seismic activity continues and weather patterns will drain insurance companies reserve funds. House prices have reached their low. The final group to sell at the bottom of this market cycle are homes with a lot of land or square footage.

Uranus in the 4th house

Many factors, including Icelandic volcanoes, will push the jet stream off of its normal pattern. Even daily weather forecasts will be unreliable. This promises to be a very strange hurricane season with storms moving along unexpected pathways.

The real estate market is full of very unusual bargains especially if the house/land is near water. Expect local governments to have difficulty assessing real estate taxes.

Mercury in the 5th house

Folks are taking risks, especially in the commodities markets. Metals and grains are rumored to be in short supply. Be careful.

It is a good idea to participate in out door events. Sporting events, picnics, weddings, concerts are well attended and everyone enjoys getting together and having fun. If you are planning an event be sure to schedule some games, contests and drawings.

The New Moon in Aries

Read this New Moon report in it's entirety at www.astrologicalinvesting.com/html/newsletter.html
New Moon forecasts show the general trends and financial outlook for the month; here is what Kaye Shinker has to say for the month ahead:

New Moon in Aries in the 12th House
The New Moon concentration of planets in the 12th house suggests that public institutions are under intense pressure. Budgets must be cut. No public employee wants to lose their job, but lack of tax receipts insist that whole agencies disappear. Elected officials will be required to make tough decisions. These decisions will be made behind closed doors.

Mercury in the 12th house
This Mercury, while direct, continues to discuss laws concerning helping the poor/disabled and institutionalized. Opinions are forcefully expressed and stubbornly held.

The real problem is when Mercury goes retrograde in Taurus. The media on both sides of every scandal will discuss them, but no one is able to agree on a solution. Don't ask anyone to make a decision any further into the future than an hour.

Venus in the 12th house
Institutions and governments try to increase their budgets by asking for donations and grants. Some are able to increase their budgets and benefits. Parks and recreation will gain more receipts than expected since they are the least expensive of recreation options.

Mars in the 3rd house
Auto sales are slow because of Mercury retrograde. Folks are anticipating future machines with better mileage than what is currently available. Recreational vehicle sales are also slow.

Commodities markets have problems. Commodities prices are all over the place. News reports concerning weather will cause volatile grain prices. Erratic demand for metals will keep traders extremely busy. The underlying problem is currency and their floats.

Pluto in the 8th house
Pluto is at home in the 8th and happily collecting taxes and insurance premiums. Tax collections are higher than expected. The party in power takes the praise and the blame for higher everything. You may begin to recognize the cultural shift will in attitudes toward personal responsibility. Folks are considering new ways to incorporate their businesses into a desirable lifestyle.

Neptune in the 10th house
Employment continues to be elusive especially at the managerial levels. Creative and ingenious personnel is the need. Folks with the talent to manipulate audio, video and the written word in an attractive setting are the desired employees as advertising returns to the media. Opportunities abound for those behind the scenes and producing creative material.

Jupiter in the 11th house
Jupiter is rapidly moving to a conjunction with Uranus. 80% of their conjunctions have produced a high in the market. The same is true for transits of Jupiter to the Uranus on a Corporation. Therefore corporations formed during the 1920's and still operating on their original incorporation documents should do well during this transit. Dividends paid this month will be excellent and higher than forecasted. Double check your research and try a few stocks in the materials and machinery sector.

Uranus in the 11th house
Tech stocks have outfoxed us. Note the ones with cash on their balance sheets. (See the topic, "New economy? Stocks with cash and no debt" in the community bulletin board) They have survived this crisis and learned the magic lesson of how to do it again.  In the 11th they may chose to reward their shareholders with dividends. Unlikely,  but possible with Uranus the planet of unexpected changes.

May 7-30 Mercury is retrograde. If your birthday falls during the dates that Mercury is retrograde - May 7 through May 30 - expect to spend the year ahead doing everything twice. Sun in Taurus - Holy Cow!

"The cows are our friends, they give food, they give strength, they likewise give a good complexion and happiness," said Gautama Buddha
icon-Taurus April 19th is Orthodox Easter. Throughout the Orthodox Christian world Easter tables will offer various delectable dishes, inspired by certain traditional Orthodox recipes. Easter lamb is, of course the quintessential dish. However, while they celebrate Easter and feast on lamb, this day marks the arrival of a Bull....the Sun's entrance into the sign of Taurus the Bull at 6:44:24 pm.

For a chart set in New York at 6:24:24 pm, Libra is rising and the Sun in Taurus is in the 7th house. Venus, ruler of Taurus and Libra is in Pisces, exalted, and she rules the chart! What a glorious day to celebrate Orthodox Easter.

We wish all who celebrate a Joyful and Happy Easter.

Patient, and practical Taurus, the Bull has immeasurable energy but is slow to act and capable of waiting a long time for plans to mature. Never try to push a Bull around! He can be obstinate, some may say stubborn (!) and terribly enraged when pushed, although he is an amenable creature when appealed to in the right way.

Those of us who are born under the sign of Taurus, or live with someone born between April 20 to May 21 (dates depend on the year and adjust for the calendar correction for Leap Year) understand how necessary it is to appeal to Taurus the "right" way!

The symbol for Taurus is a full Moon (a circle) which on top is placed a crescent Moon (for the horns). The Moon is exalted in Taurus because the bull symbolizes fertility, as well as stability which is extremely important for the Moon.

The New Moon in Taurus is Friday, April 24 at 2:46. Astrological Investing will post Kaye Shinker's New Moon Predictions on that day as well as Fiscal Cents, a monthly sun sign forecast that gives predictions for the month beginning on each new moon. (Our subscribers receive these reports earilier, and if you would like to read them before the new moon, please subscribe to our newsletter.)
