Euro, Dollar, Gold

January 25, 2010 the eclipse at 25 degrees Capricorn fell on the Euro's Venus. That meant that the guardian angel of the Euro went on vacation. July 11, 2010 the solar eclipse is at 20 degrees Cancer and will fall on the Dollar's Moon. It means that the public is very upset with the Dollar and it is time for it to rebuild its image.

January 14, 2010 a Euro could be exchanged for $1.45 and on April 14, 2010 the Euro fell $1.36 as the crisis with the Sovereign debt of Greece became an escalating problem. By May 14, 2010 the Euro has appeared to maintain a level of $1.23 as the European Central Bank believes it can manage the problem. However, using just the transits to the dollar chart would explain that the Dollar has moved into a period of extreme pressure to maintain its value. The pressure will continue unabated as Saturn transits through Libra (July 2010-October 2012) the Dollar's Sun sign forcing it to examine its self-image .

Solar Arc Progressions and the Dollar

Solar Arc progressions are a way to double check an opinion of a mundane chart. In this case the Solar Arc Sun making an exact conjunction to the natal Saturn insists that the Dollar take control of its power and the world with a reliable useful currency. Transiting Saturn is conjunct Solar Arc Pluto which further insists on the Dollar taking control of its power. Mars triggers the Solar Arc South node with a conjunction while Solar Arc Venus is conjunct the natal Uranus suggesting a plethora of new inventions available to the public will save the Dollar and will do so very quickly. Solar Arc Mercury is conjunct the Solar Arc Jupiter suggests that all I have just said is really possible. These are just the conjunctions which are easy to see.

Dollar Faces Hard Work

It looks like the Dollar has more work to do than it can imagine. It is forced into a position of power and must take credit for the position seriously. The public is not pleased with this new status and will be extremely unhappy that their favorite coin of the realm has been endowed with so much authority.

My opinion is that the Dollar will be forced to work extremely hard to continue to dominate the world currency markets. Will it be successful? We will know for sure when Saturn stations at 22 Libra Summer Solstice 2012. In the meantime set up these charts on your computer and have fun following the trades for the Dollar and the Euro. Of course you could forget the entire exercise and buy coins.

Gold

June 10,2010 Mars will leave Leo the sign that rules Gold. This leaves the chart for gold open to the transit of Saturn moving into a conjunction with its Pluto and onto Uranus. That means that trading gold should be rather scary. The transit of Saturn to Pluto will intensify the power of gold as it is currently valued. At the moment transiting Chiron is square Neptune. This signals a red flag which could expose some maverick Gold ETF's with Phantom reserves. A real possibility during the next few weeks. Thus the public will question the wisdom of every type of gold fund. Coins and bars will remain a safe haven.

Take a look at the charts, now is the time when every readers opinion is of tremendous value. Surely I have overlooked a lot of aspects to these charts.

Are the Stars Aligned for Health Care?

President Obama says, "The stars are aligned for Health Care."

"What?" I said to myself. "Which astrologer is he using?" 

No, sorry Mr. President Mercury is retrograde. If communications can get garbled then they will with Mercury rx. Legislation such as TARP passed within the boundaries of Mercury rx and the administration has changed the rules at least a dozen times. Mercury rx makes a mess.

But let's look at Pisces and Virgo and Chiron all have something to do with Health Care. Are there any stars ready to take on the task of health?

Pisces rules hospitals and the planet currently transiting this sign is Uranus. Uranus loves to usurp the current paradigm. He likes to turn everything inside out upside down and backwards. OK I'm not sure I want to go to a hospital that has been turned upside down. Add government employees to the mix and I'm sure I prefer to stay home.

Virgo is the sign that rules uniformed servants such as nurses, doctors and security services. Saturn is transiting this sign suggesting that these folks have plenty to complain about. Low wages, overwork, and difficult working conditions. Not sure these folks will listen to my complaints when their complaints are far more life threatening.

Chiron is the wounded healer. He is transiting Aquarius. He is a great teacher but right now his interests are focused on gadgets that plug into the wall. He wants to put cool machines all over the hospitals and attach leashes to the personnel.

My opinion: if the President thinks the stars are aligned to pass health care legislation, then his astrologer lives in a different solar system.

Will We Rescue the Car?

I asked an elderly friend if she could remember what it was like when automobiles began to take over the economy. She explained that it was very difficult for folks who delivered products with horse carts and mechanics like her dad had to adapt to a new business.

Economic Woes Repeat 

The economic woes of the Auto industry dominate the headlines.  They dominate the discussions on the net and even of folks waiting in line for a burger at Micky D's. What will replace these venerable icons of personal transportation and freedom of movement? Pluto in Capricorn is changing business models with dramatic intensity just as it did at the beginning of the previous century when it entered Cancer. Would you have purchased stock in the strange new company General Motors in 1916? It has Pluto at 4 degrees Cancer.

Once upon a time at the turn of the last century Pluto entered Cancer and the automobile was invented. Buggy whip makers went out of business. Horseshoer's had to learn a new trade and construction engineers studied Roman roads to design highways and bridges that held the weight of ten ton trucks. Dozens of companies formed to manufacture cars, trucks, and all of their component parts in order to provide all of us with personal transportation. By the way more than 50 of these companies still trade on the New York Stock Exchange.

Will Folks Invent a New Economy?

Once upon a time as a matter of fact January 2008, Pluto entered Capricorn and the entire economy once again began to change. But what is this creative new invention?  Will we find it soon? Clues will be revealed throughout 2009 as the world economy grasps the creativity of the Aquarius Neptune expanded by the Jupiter conjunction and revealed by Chiron.

Chiron the centaur is half man half beast. He is the maverick, the teacher and the healer. He says step outside the box, learn everything possible about the topic and then use your knowledge to fix the problem. It appears he is set up to help us through this economic transition.

It is a Tough Transition. 

This is the beginning of the economic revolution. We need to survive with creativity and ingenuity and some good old fashion intense study. It is time to do your homework, and the Jupiter, Chiron, Neptune conjunction is yelling in all caps. Jupiter the salesman is expanding the lessons of Chiron the great teacher.
