Researching the Equinox by Ursula

Hi Kaye,

I have been practicing on a lot of different things, still think I got a long way to go, but ever since our discussion with Ted about the hypothetical planet Lilith, I have been looking at this planet. I wanted to run this past you to see if you think there might be something in it or if I am way of track.

I checked a few times when our index started going down and Lilith and the Sun seems to be in hard aspect many of these times. Also I got the book that Pat Hardy mentioned "the key to speculation on the New York Stock exchange" and checked out some of those degrees. Sometimes the degrees were on important parts, sometimes not.

I also googled critical degrees to read up more info about them.

Many of the technical indicators are showing a turn in the market so I started looking when and why.

This is what I am finding and wondering if the trend won't change around this time. Jupiter and Uranus no longer conjunct. would love your opinion.

14 march - Lilith 29 Pisces (29 deg = weakest point)

20 March Lilith conj Sun in Pisces at 29 degrees, I also read about a Moon Wobble (major environmental damage) when the Sun forms a T square to Nodes, this happen today as well. This is also the day of the Spring equinox, but it is on a Sunday.

The Moon will be at 29Virgo opposing these planets. (Moon in either Pisces or Virgo, can cause disasters that effect the stock market - same book).

21 March - Sun Uranus 0 deg Aries

26 March - Mars squaring Nodes = high volumes - selling.

Either a change in trend or a major decline for a few days. I have only looked at Lilith and what was around it not really any other planets.

Maybe I'm looking at unimportant things? What is your take?

My Take:

Lilith is an important astrological point and very little research has been devoted to the study.

My take is that the signs of change at this Equinox abound. The Super Full Moon on the 19th heralds a tremendous amount of earth changes. The Sun conjunct Uranus says capitalize on your ability to think out of the box. Uranus returning to Aries ignites the inventive spirit of everyone. There is so much to say about the 2011 Spring Equinox that my Spring Equinox article will only be able to cover about 1/10 of the changes we are about to experience. However, the markets anticipate change ahead of the exact aspects, therefore be aware of the favored sectors, watch for bubbles, and keep your stops firmly in place.

The Aries Point is important in every chart. You all are invited to share your astrological observations. OK? This equinox is a big deal.

Solar Explosions

September 2009 my article predicting solar storms during 2010 appeared in Llewellyn's Sun Sign annual. My research on the appearance of difficult solar activity indicated that a gathering of difficult planetary aspects often set off solar storms that would create beautiful auroras and problems for the electrical grid. Everyday of 2010 I included spaceweather.com in my morning check of weather, news and sports. Nothing unusual appeared on their site. A few sunspots appeared and disappeared. Filaments appeared and disappeared.

NO Solar Explosions

July and August 2010 presented astrologers with 13 interesting planetary phenomena. All of us looked at it from our particular point of view and made predictions. Mundane astrologers looked at the problems with the Euro, political protests in various countries, stock market activity and nothing seemed very unusual. I was convinced that this string of phenomena would be some sort of solar storm and expected to see a huge number of Sun spots appear along the equator of the Sun. I expected them to erupt and cause all sorts of havoc around our solar system. However, as Spaceweather reports they did not realize the magnitude of the eruptions until they analyzed all of the data from their various solar instruments. Finally on Dec 13, 2010 the article link above appeared in the official science media.

"On August 1, 2010, an entire hemisphere of the sun erupted. Filaments of magnetism snapped and exploded, shock waves raced across the stellar surface, billion-ton clouds of hot gas billowed into space. Astronomers knew they had witnessed something big."

Again December 7-13. 2010 I expected that the Heliocentric planetary phenomena would cause major disruptions on the solar surface. Spaceweather.com reported Coronal Mass Ejections however these particle sprays went up instead of across the planetary plane.

Space science expects the sun spot activity to increase during 2011 and 2012 peaking in 2013. A smaller grouping of planetary phenomena occurs in June and July of 2012. Therefore I'm expecting 2011 to be rather quiet on the surface of the Sun. However, experience has taught me to keep my eye on Spaceweather. Sometimes our Sun acts like Uranus.

The Year Without an Arctic Summer

"Old Willie" told the legend of the year that summer did not come" Eskimos living in tiny villages along the coast of the Seward Peninsula (Nome, Alaska) were unable to collect the food they needed for the next winter. He told the story of a sudden change in the weather one June, as the Eskimos were ready to collect the fish, berries and meat they needed to survive winter. Just as they were getting ready to hunt the weather changed. The north wind came bringing weather so bitter that the hunting season ended before it began.

Only 10 people in the area survived including an old woman and her granddaughter who ate a seal-skin boat.

Tree Rings Record the Climate.

Gordon Jacoby of Columbia University heard the story and found in his collection of tree rings one from an area near the Kauwerak villages on the Seward Peninsula.

"It was unique" Jacoby says. "The growth for the first part of the year 1783 appeared normal, but it came to an abrupt end just as summer should have begun. The record was clear 1783 was the coldest growing season in more than 900 years.

A little research and he discovered that June 8, 1783 the Skaptar Jokull volcano in Iceland suddenly erupted and continued to erupt for the next 6 months. It was among the most disastrous in history. In Iceland it killed 20% of the population. It sent up a dense cloud of gas and the prevailing winds carried the cloud over Canada and Alaska and across to Japan where it initiated a severe famine.

The sulfurous gasses in the volcanic clouds combined with water forming crystals that reflected the solar radiation back into space. Jacoby's tree ring analysis demonstrated that the northern most areas of Alaska had no growing season, and southern Alaska experienced significant cooling.

18th Century Sun Spots

Sun Spot activity from 1770-1773 was recorded as the high for the 18th Century. Saturn had just passed the exact opposition to Uranus and from the heliocentric point of view. Also from the helio point of view Jupiter had just left the conjunction to Saturn.

September 1, 2009 the opposition of Saturn and Uranus were also exact and Jupiter was moving to a conjunction with Neptune from the helio point of view. This date marked the end of a long 704 day Solar minimum. From the geocentric point of view the current opposition of Saturn and Uranus will be exact April 26 and July 26. Planetary dynamics predicts that volcanic activity in Iceland will continue. Wind direction indicates the areas most vulnerable.

Solar Spots and Flares

The Llewellyn Sun Sign Annual 2010 contains an article I wrote "Sun Spot Explosion 2010."

In the article I tell some of the legends in the Arctic that explain the appearance of the Northern Lights. I read the folk legends carefully looking for stories that contain weather warnings handed down through the generations. Often they prove to be accurate historic accounts of weather disasters.

Forecasting weather trends is an essential element in Financial Astrology. During the past few years, I have mentioned the Sun Spot cycle in articles and blogs. Wherever I lecture I hand out graphs illustrating the sun spot cycle over the past 400 years. The graphs include an illustration of the conjunction of Jupiter with Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. These conjunctions often coincide with the peak of Sun activity. 

We are currently in a deep solar minimum that is setting records for the coolest summer on record in many northern hemisphere communities.  Has the Sun Spot cycle failed? Will the Spots return?  From the point of view of the Sun, Jupiter and Neptune make a conjunction in mid September. From the point of view of the Earth they make their final conjunction December 2009. 

Jupiter will oppose Saturn three times in 2010. 

During May and June of 2010 Jupiter will move to an opposition with Saturn and then to a conjunction with Uranus. Is it possible that the Sun will suddenly erupt with a rash of spots? Statistics warn that this is very possible. 

The article retells the legends of Arctic groups concerning the weather they expect when the Northern Lights stream across the evening sky.  Their legends explain that colorful Auroras bring an abundant supply of game animals.

“The weather of that day will stay that way” is the saying that goes with the path of the eclipse. Usually the path indicates an area very vulnerable to violent weather. Example: The 2005 eclipse was visible in New Orleans and Katrina pounded the city causing the levees to break.

I follow www.spaceweather.com everyday and unless Jupiter and Neptune can talk the Sun into producing more spots then it is unlikely CME’s (Coronal Mass Ejection) will be a problem.

But, sun spots can form quickly! And any CME aimed at these emerging markets could devastate the entire region.

More likely, since this is also a Super New Moon, are earthquakes and volcanic activity. (A New Moon is considered a Super New Moon when it is closest to the earth - or Perigee. )

Both tend to be isolated weather hazards, however, volcanic ash tends to circle at high altitudes for a long time causing cool wet weather. An example is Sarychev, a Russian volcano, that whirled around the globe - and even the internet! - in June 2009. Solar Eclipse in Corporate Horoscopes

The effect of an eclipse on Incorporation charts and IPO charts is interesting to watch. If you have The Textbook for Financial Astrology, Textbook 3, watch the charts of the Dow 30 as the eclipse hits various planets in their charts. For example, the Incorporation chart for Boeing shows the Sun at 26 degrees Cancer, three degrees from the eclipse point. GM has Saturn at 29 Cancer.

Fashion Forecasts a Recession?

A Wall Street aphorism states: 'Long skirts for women predict economic hard times.'

During the past few months I have noticed that many women have decided to cover their legs with longer slacks and long skirts. Are designers trying to create a martket? Is this truly a Bear market? Are the girls cold?

A deep recession can force designers for retail dress shops to promote a new fashion that will attract customers. Thrifty shoppers will insist on getting the best value for their dollar therefore asking for more fabric. A deep solar minimum where the Sun has been spotless for 90% of the time can be associated with global cooling.

The Summer Solstice predicts a volatile stock market that has a chance of moving up, but September has a rash of tough aspects suggesting a number of bubbles are ready to burst sending other market sectors into another tailspin.

Optimistic Markets during the Summer Months

June, July and August should find the market averages gradually increasing in price and volume as people begin to feel confident that the economy has reached a plateau. Pay close attention to your personal purchases. Quality and guarantees are your primary concern.

Most industries have exhausted their inventories and those of you looking for employment may find temporary jobs as these companies begin to return to last years production schedules.

Housing will continue to be a problem because demographics do not support an increase in supply. The same demographics do not support new car purchases. The baby boomlet is almost 18. They will not buy a new car for several years and they are likely to pay cash for all purchases. They have heard the old Johnny Cash song lyrics "I owe my soul to the company store" and substituted the words credit card and have learned a lesson from their parents.

It is a Quiet and Joyous Summer. 

The emphasis is on working on your own projects and playing with friends. Take advantage of every sunny day and get your massive dose of Vitamin D. Find some friends and take a walk, dig up the weeds in your garden, or hang out at the beach. Keep your entertainment expenses as low as possible. Throughout the past year I have advised you all in Fiscal Cents, “Save your money in a piggy bank or a savings account. “ Summer should help you find a way to invest your cash in projects that will benefit your own bottom line.

Solar Eclipse

The solar eclipse takes place July 22 and will be visible over China as well as the Ring of Fire. "The weather of that day will stay that way" is the Aphorism for the solar eclipse. In Cancer, the eclipse forecasts a time when people in the region will focus on home and family. Folks in this region will take extra time to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Eclipses in Cancer and Capricorn tend to put an emphasis on dramatic change in home, family and small business. Small businesses may develop a new name, "Micro Business", meaning that they sell products beyond their local area, but have few if any employees.

Mercury will be retrograde from September 7-29. No outer planets change signs.

September will be rough

The aspect that is ready to upset the economy, turn it inside out and run backwards is once again the Saturn Uranus opposition. Traders should have stops firmly in place before pressing the button to buy anything.

Heliocentric opposition of Saturn and Uranus will be in effect as these planets move into an exact opposition September 2, 2009, and the geocentric opposition September 15,2009.

Even Science is Getting Into the 2012 Act

Space weather forecasters have determined that 2012 will be the Solar Maximum and therefore the earth's electrical grid is in danger of a meltdown due to Coronal Mass Ejections. It is true and it has happened before. The most dramatic case occurred in 1859 when a solar flare lit up the sky and then melted telegraph wires.

I'm sure more stories like this one will appear throughout the Internet as well as mainstream print media.The media must rush these stories because it appears they do not look at the graphs provided by Spaceweather.com. Coronal Mass Ejections usually occur within months of a solar minimum. An astrologer looks at the charts for these events and can see that Jupiter is on the way to making a conjunction with one or more of the outer planets.

Astrological Investing will keep you informed via the New Moon Newsletters and Blogs. The next three years are filled with danger signals as the outer planets move through a series of conjunctions and oppositions. During May 2009 the Mercury retrograde period includes conjunctions of Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron. This three week period signals some very difficult planetary configurations with a history of creating solar storms. Solar Flares often miss 'target' planet earth, but every one is worthy of our attention.

The Astrology of Solar Storms
Historically Jupiter and Neptune conjunction with Mars square the conjunction signals damaging solar flares. If you follow the graph of the Sun Spot cycles you will find that Jupiter is in the same sign as Saturn or Neptune at the height of sun spot activity. Usually Mars is square the conjunction.
May 27, 2009 Jupiter and Neptune are making conjunctions squared by Mars. The first conjunction is often very difficult. The retrograde conjunction happens July 20th with the heliocentric conjunction September 19 near the equinox and the last geocentric conjunction on Dec. 21st on the solstice.

Recent Signs of Astronomical Pressure
The power of both planets moving toward a conjunction has so far ignited two volcanoes with significant ash plumes. There are also three volcanoes threatening to erupt. Ash fertilizes the soil where ever if falls but also creates additional rainfall and cool weather.
The ash from a volcano damages mechanical objects. In Alaska the folks protect the engines of their cars and machines from the ash fall of the Redoubt volcano by encasing engine parts with pantyhose. Geomagnetic storms are not so easy. They destroy the circuits that operate communication devises, satellites and electrical systems. Various studies of Sun activity suggest remarkable Solar flares will melt the component parts of electrical systems.

I lived in Alaska 10 summers and was fascinated by the bright auroras therefore I researched the astrology, science and mythology of Sun Spot cycles as well as Solar flares. I follow the sunspot count to predict economic trends. Solar maximums usually signal the end of a growth in industrial production and we are at a very prolonged minimum. In other words the cycles are not making sense. I'm suggesting that there must be an underground economy about to appear in a fashion similar to the personal computer industry.
Looking around the solar system some odd events have occured recently. The large red spot on Jupiter ate some newly formed white spots and then became smaller. Usually astrology gives Jupiter credit for weight gain among earthlings. Could it be that when Jupiter eats, he loses weight? Recently Ice caps reformed on Mars. With higher power telescopes available scientests will probably find other anomolies.
